Kisii soap stone elephant bowl. This elephant bowls us out! As with Shona stone sculptures of Zimbabwe, the Nkisi artists mine and hand create thrilling objects with soap stone. Using machetes, pick axes, firing method, sand papering, hand oil polishing, they create wonderful stone sculptures that are now enjoyed the world over.
