Ceremonial West African Comb

Ceremonial West African Comb
Wood. Pigment.

Status combs of this nature were worn by people of high status. They wore them by just letting them "sit" in the hair. Gender was not assigned.

It could also feature in a marriage ceremony, as unions were highly placed in those societies. Again, either the bride or groom or both could wear.
